Washington Mayor Muriel Bowser announced that starting July 27, travelers coming to Washington, D.C. from an area considered a coronavirus hotspot for non-essential reasons will have to undergo a mandatory 14-day quarantine to reduce the risk of transmission, even if neighboring Maryland and Virginia were exempt from the restrictions.  Despite increasing restrictions, the U.S. National Zoological Park in Washington, D.C. has reopened with various coronavirus-related measures. Visitors must book reduced-capacity tickets in advance, and face masks are mandatory for visitors and staff. Social distancing measures have also been introduced, with some areas of the zoo implementing a one-way street system.  If the evidence warrants, ministers will be able to close entire areas or types of premises in an area, introduce local „stay at home” orders, prevent people from entering or leaving certain areas, reduce the maximum size of gatherings beyond national regulations, or restrict transportation systems for local areas. Under the new restrictions in Havana, public transport has resumed and beaches have reopened, despite the government maintaining strict rules on social distancing and wearing face masks.   UK Education Secretary Gavin Williamson revealed the UK government`s plans to fully reopen schools in September. It has been announced that children can only mingle with their own age group without big events and regular hand washing. Williamson also explained that staff and students are not required to wear face masks and parents will be punished if they refuse to send their child to school. Students with symptoms of COVID-19 would not be allowed to attend school and schools that report cases should be closed.  Authorities in Gaborone, Botswana`s capital, imposed a two-week lockdown following a spike in infections. Under the new restrictions, people are only allowed to leave their homes for essential reasons, with all social gatherings strictly prohibited. Non-essential businesses such as restaurants, gyms and hotels have also been ordered to close.
  The Walt Disney Company has postponed the debuts of several films due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The release of the live-action version of Mulan has been postponed indefinitely, and the release of Avatar: The Way of Water and a new Star Wars movie has been postponed to December 2022 and December 2023, respectively.  On September 14, restrictions on gatherings in England were tightened and the law again prohibited people from meeting more than six people in society. The new „rule of six” applied both indoors and outdoors. Eleven days later, pubs, bars and restaurants were told they would have to close between 10pm and 6am. The Russian Finance Ministry has announced plans to cut public spending by 10% ($65 billion in total) between 2021 and 2023, as spending has increased during the COVID-19 pandemic, with Russian GDP expected to decline by 5% in 2020.   Austrian Foreign Minister Alexander Schallenberg warned citizens not to travel to six Balkan countries that are not part of the European Union. The six countries were later Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Serbia.   Italian Health Minister Roberto Speranza announced that Italy`s borders will be closed to travelers from a list of countries experiencing dangerous transmission of the coronavirus. The countries listed were Armenia, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Chile, Dominican Republic, Kuwait, Moldova, North Macedonia, Oman, Panama and Peru.   British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has postponed the next phase of easing coronavirus restrictions in England after infection rates rose in several northern counties, with casinos, bowling alleys and beauty salons remaining closed; It was also announced that face coverings will be mandatory in all cinemas, museums and places of worship from August 8.
  England`s chief medical officer, Chris Whitty, said the country had „probably reached the limit of what we can do.”  An earlier version of this article listed incorrect restrictions on entertainment in Illinois. Spanish Foreign Minister Arancha González Laya said negotiations were underway with British authorities to exclude the Canary Islands and Balearic Islands from the UK`s 14-day quarantine measures for returning travellers, arguing that the coronavirus situation on the islands was at a similar level to the UK.  Full reopening is always associated with rules in many places.
